The Real Flavor of Medieval Morocco

This is an initial itinerary which we suggest for an extraordinary photo tour and can be customized for your dates and interests.

If who have not yet photographed Morocco, now is the time – there is simply nowhere else like it! A world away from our own cities and towns, the culture and people of Morocco are so diverse that they often discover unknown parts of their own land. You'll find the people friendly, the country colorful and hospitality such a large part of their culture you will be striking up friendships wherever you go. Life in Morocco is vibrant and interesting and offers photographers the chance to get unique shots as we visit its many medinas, souks and riads.

Led by Ali Alami, the photo guide for many well-known western photographers, this is a photo extravaganza, not just a tour. His attention to detail and love for sharing his country with visitors makes him a hidden jewel that has been discovered.

An opportunity to step back from western culture and dive in to a truly exotic experience

No other photo tour offers you the chance to leave the ordinary behind and immerse yourself in a time that offers a new perspective on how the Berbers, the mountain people of Morocco live. On this unique journey, you will learn by getting your “hands dirty” – baking bread in clay ovens, brewing mint tea or cooking tagine over the charcoal – while offering you ample and intimate photo opportunities.

You also photograph zelig tile makers in Fes and capture the Gnawa musicians as they drum, dance and twirl in a private performance later in the afternoon. Because taking people pictures like this can be difficult in Morocco, we have arranged a short photo shoot with some traditionally dressed ladies to capture them behind the veil.

We have designed this tour especially to offer you opportunities that you will not find on the normal photo tour to Morocco. We will see the real Morocco and come away with excellent shots.
