Cultural and Photographic Tour – An Island of Discovery

This is an initial itinerary which we suggest for an extraordinary photo tour and can be customized for your dates and interests.

Since Marco Polo called it “the finest Island in the world” Sri Lanka has been seducing travelers, traders and invaders with its incredibly photogenic beaches, mountains, tea plantations, antique British villages, Asian elephants, religious sites, natural beauty and welcoming people.

Incredibly, Sri Lanka is home to eight different UNESCO World Heritage sites, many of which we will visit on this 15-day photo discovery. Modest in size, Sri Lanka packs a tremendous amount for the photographer to capture within easy reach with multiple, top-level locations available each day. But as important as your photo opportunities are, we also weave in exposure to Buddhism, history, the tea culture, traditional markets, the ambitious modern Sri Lankans and much more.

With a small group of only 6-8 it will be more like traveling with a small group of good friends—all of whom are experienced photographers—rather than a traditional tour. Of course like all Different Perspective Tours you will stay in 4-5 star or best available accommodations.

Health and Fitness

You must be in suitable physical and mental health to travel depending on the activities of the chosen trip. Any physical condition, diet, or treatment requiring special attention must be reported in writing when the reservation is made. You must be able to participate in the activities on the itinerary of the tour that you are booking.
