Post Covid-19: A Different Perspective

WHEW, what a last year and a half for all of us world travelers! Life has changed for everyone and everywhere and has impacted greatly where we can travel to and how we can travel. A Different Perspective’s owner, Teri Goldstein, has made it her mission to make sure she has all updated information regarding Covid restrictions and requirements and looks forward to sharing it with you.

Who am I?
Along with operating A Different Perspective I have two other products: Travels with Teri and Sausalito Walking Tours. I am the CEO/Owner of TG Travel Group LLC, the umbrella company for all my travel lines.
At the time of the lockdown due to Covid-19, I was the vice president of the Travel Consumer Restitution Corporation (TCRC) in California that works in conjunction with the California Seller of Travel division of the Attorney’s General office reviewing consumer claims and monitoring California travel providers ethical business practices.

Ciao Teri
As chao ensued it became apparent that not only had the travel industry never been challenged with the demand for refunds and credits because of the need to cancel or postpone trips but that it simply was not prepared to do so. So as I waded my own way through the best resolve for my clients I was made aware that other companies had no guidance to settle with clients. So, I began Ciao Teri, a 24/7 hotline to assist all travelers, not just the ones who booked with me, get a resolve they were happy with.

We’ve grown since Covid
A Different Perspective began by offering small group tours with fixed departure dates. Due to the number of photographers and their traveling friends who had prior commitments and needed another date or destination, we began arranging customized trips. The same unique experiences and trip protocol tailed to fit the particular needs of that small group or independent traveler. Since Covid it is even more important to provide updated information on the places we are able to travel to and give the excellent personalized service on the restrictions and requirements needed to travel.

NEW Destinations
Destinations we are proud to offer with our newer partner companies are the Arctic (Norway), Greenland, Egypt, Romania, Turkey, Chad, Niger, Sudan, Lake Turkana, Benin, the Congo (DRC), Papua New Guinea, and the Philippines.

Just ask
A Different Perspective has partner operators and photo guides in most parts of the world. Just because you do not see your trip on this website does not mean that we can’t provide it.

We would love to talk with you
Because we believe in personalized service, we still believe in picking u the phone.

NEW TOUR Inner Orissa

Departures: November 14 – 28, 2017 & February 6 -20, 2018

Tribes, tribes and more tribes!

Tribal Odisha (formerly Orissa) has closed its doors many times in the past but now is welcoming you with open arms. Newly independent Chhattisgarh as well. Don’t miss your rare opportunity to see both of these India state’s vibrant tribal communities while you can.

Odisha is home to the largest variety of tribal communities in all of India. There are tribes which lead a relatively secluded and archaic mode of life, keeping their core culture intact, while others are communities which are indistinguishable from the general agricultural communities. Brightly colored dress, body ornaments, textiles and arts and crafts radiate its distinctive cultural identity. Everywhere you turn you capture that rare shot of a lifetime.

Chhattisgarh is endowed with its own unique and rich and diverse cultural heritage. This scenic region is a feast for your eyes and is full of lush green virgin forests, scenic hills and plateaus intersected by meandering rivers, ancient caves and temples and its colorful tribal population. With so much of varieties and choices, Chhattisgarh is a fascinating experience for photographers. On this tour, you will capture through the lens its archaeology, art, and tribal life.

These two remote areas combined will offer you the opportunity to preserve today’s living tribes in India that others normally do not have a chance to discover.
